『Shinnnosuke: I would like to show our respect for Shukugawa, our home, more than just being unique. Another part is our respect for “Barbie Boys”. 』
『MA-YA: At first, I didn’t think it is not unique. But we think, it is very strange name, whenever we see our logo or our name on magazines or web sites. The first letter “N” is from the name of the café “ん,” which Shinnosuke works at. That café is my favorite spot and I recommended adding it on our band name. I don’t like to add “the” on our band’s name. By the way, when I looked for the name “Shukugawa boys” on the Internet, I found the boy’s baseball team. I thought it was nice to add the “N”. We live in Shukugawa, Nishinomiya city, Hyogo prefecture. When“Boys” is in our name, even though we have a girl in our band is respect for “Barbie Boys”. They also have a girl in their band, so we don’t care about it. But when we are asked about it, we answer that she is a “he”. Of course, it is a joke on the stage. 』
